Tonight for dinner we went to my parents, to see this wonderful lady:
The whole sha-bang |
Next I added some tomato sauce, a few leftover meatballs my mom made, sauteed mushrooms, and of course...anchovies.
Please, whats a pizza without those lil salty gems anyway?! Next I added a lil bit shredded mozzarella cheese
and baked it on 450 for 15 minutes. It was good, too bad I'm not the biggest fan of meat this pregnancy!
PS, leftover meatballs or meatloaf taste awesome on pizza
Meatball Pizza
5 leftover MB's, sliced
5 sauteed mushrooms
1/2 can anchovy
tomato sauce
pizza dough
spices
4 oz mozz cheese
My next pizza was much more of a girly veggie pizza
I did the same thing to the dough - roll, spice, bake... then spread on some of my moms homemade pesto sauce instead of red sauce (always surprisingly good)
Then I layered about one handful of fresh spinach on the top, and added sliced green olives and 1/2 can anchovies.
Baked it on 450 for 15 mins,
Spinach Olive Pizza
Dough
3 Tbsp Pesto
Handful fresh spinach
6 large olives, sliced thin
1/2 can anchovies
4 oz mozz cheese
1/2 cup Ricotta Cheese
Spices
Pizza Secret - If I plan to use a tray/ pizza stone the whole time, I bake the dough ahead of time. If I plan to take it off of the tray 1/2 way thru baking, I don't bake it ahead of time. For these pizzas it was easier to leave it on the tray the entire baking time, so I baked the dough for about 10 mins before adding the toppings and putting it back in. I do this because I don't like doughy pizza, like, at all. I like 'er crunchy.
