Weddings and Couscous

First up: Wedding from last night.  I didn't get any photos of cocktail hour, because the waitstaff walked around with trays and I would feel like a weirdo.  Dinner was Chicken Parm, but I opted out because the broccoli Alfredo was more appealing to me:

The cake was the most different wedding cake I have ever eaten:

It was full of custard and decorated with sliced almonds... and one layer of cake in the middle.  No idea what it was, because I don't eat this stuff enough to know any details! It was more like a pastry cake than a cake cake... yummy!

Here is a photo of her centerpieces:

And obv me and the hubster:

After a fun filled day of family brunches and doggie birthday parties, dinner was simple yet delicious:

Bratwurst (which I love as you can see), Shrimpy Couscous (also found here) and Green beans.  So simple. Boil, de-skin, and fry up some Brats:

Boil some water (1 1/4 cups) and add this amazing box of (all natural) heaven:

(This photo is old, I used the Garlic & Olive Oil one). Then, I peeled some shrimp, more than 1 lb, and put them into a glass pan:

Added some spices

And poured on 1/3 cup of mostly olive oil with a lil bit of apple cider vinegar:

and baked them at 450 for 12 mins, flipping them once.  Delicious! While the Shrimp were cookin away, I mixed together the Couscous, chopped celery, carrots, and tomatoes in a bowl

Then added the shrimp and the drippings from the pan:

And served dinner! I love yummy, quick dinners!!

Especially when followed by Butterfinger ice cream with rainbow sprinkles:

Shrimpy Couscous
5.7 oz Garlic & Olive Oil Couscous
1 1/4 cup water
1/3 Cup mixed OO & Apple Cider Vinegar
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
1 + lb raw shrimp
Spices (Basil, Garlic, Oregano, Parsley)
