Boil 'er Up

As I have mentioned before, this pregnancy really turned me away from eating meat.  Its not that I don't eat it, its that I just don't really want to eat it.  However, at the store this weekend I picked up a rack of ribs!! This girl right here loves ribs, more than anyone on this planet.

I began by taking the entire rack of ribs (it was 2.15 lbs) and placed it in a pot of boiling water.  I used a huge pasta pot.  I boiled it for about 40 mins.  i really enjoy boiling meat before I cook it, I think it gets a lot of the crap off of it and makes it more tender.

When it was done boiling I placed the ribs in a glass pan and sprinkled some Worcestershire sauce on it, as well as a lil spice rub I made up - Oregano, Garlic Salt, Pepper and Steak Seasoning.  I then spooned on lots of garlic.  I baked the ribs on 250 for 3 hours, covered with tin foil.  I flipped the ribs over two times, to make sure the bottom cooked.  The last 20 mins I poured on A1 Sauce and Spicy BBQ sauce.  They came out SO SO GOOD!

I promise you these will just fall right off of the bone! I don't always bake them for 3 hours, my cooking time and temp always varies, I just can tell when they are done when the bone basically slips right out :)

On the side I enjoyed tortellini salad (cukes, yellow peppers, yellow tomaters, black olives) and green beans.  I totally burned my brussel sprouts, to the point of no return

I really wish someone had brought me home some type of mega chocolate ice cream sundae for dessert.  I had to settle for the chocolate off of the frozen bananas I still have in my freezer.  Boo.
