More Bizzy Days

Busy Busy Busy!! On Wed the hubster and I finally used up the last of our gift cards from our Engagement party last year, so we took a trip to the Olive Garden to eat some bad Italian. I'm sorry... but I'm Italian, and theres nothing "authentic" about the Olive Garden.  They started us with the unlimited salad, which I will admit is the one perk for eating there.

I ate about 5 bowls :)  I decided to fill up on salad and wrap our dinner.  For dinner we decided to split a pizza with sausage, olives, mushrooms and something else, I forget.  It was okay.

We also split Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara, which is "Chicken and shrimp with bucatini pasta in a Parmesan cream sauce with pancetta bacon and roasted red peppers, baked and topped with seasoned breadcrumbs."
Okay, but totally unhealthy! We pretty much ate some pizza and wrapped the rest for lunch the next day.  Yesterday was another busy day, I had to run a bunch of errands to get ready for my best friends rehearsal dinner.  I picked up a beautiful dress for Mikayla

and one for myself, that I don't have a photo of yet.  I also finally picked up my bridesmaid dress that I had to get tailored.  I met my wonderful, beautiful, fabulous mother

and we accomplished lots of errands together, while stopping by Pizzeria Unos for lunch.  Yes, yes, one can say Pizzeria Uno is not authentic pizza, but I enjoy eating all that flat-bread-not-really-pizza stuff.  A lot. You really cant beat their lunch special either... for $7.99 you get all you can eat salad (which we chose) or soup (which Mikayla chose) and a personal pizza, which they actually started making bigger.

Mikayla and I finished about half and wrapped the rest.  We both got the Roasted Eggplant, Red Pepper, and Spinach pizza, which also had caramelized onions, feta, mozz and basil pesto.  So so good, but don't go in expecting this to be pizza, because its definitely a flat bread instead.

We also made a Starbucks run, where I enjoyed a beautiful hazelnut iced coffee

and Miss Mikayla enjoyed a red velvet cupcake, but didn't touch the frosting.

Last night was also the rehearsal dinner.  It was at the Circus Cafe in Saratoga, NY.  The grooms parents chose lots of amazing food, such as Brushetta and Shrimp (coin purses, or something) for an appetizer, with a choice of salad and main course.  I took my photos on the brides camera, so we will post photos later, but we both chose the stuffed chicken Trevi - Chicken Breast stuffed with mozzarella cheese, sun dried
tomatoes, prosciutto, and spinach; sliced and topped with a light cream sauce.
Served with mashed potatoes and sautéed seasonal vegetables.  Dessert was the best, Pete got NY Cheesecake, which was like 5 inches high, I ordered a Snickers Pie (amazing) and Mikayla ordered Apple Crisp.  AFter dessert they brought out the largest mounds of cotton candy I have ever seen.  This photo doesnt do it justice, it was like 2 1/2 feet tall!

Cotton candy is a weakness of mine, good thing they brought it out after dinner! The rehersal dinner was so nice, (thanks Lauren!) and so relaxing and enjoyable. The grooms father handed out prizes (I won one, so did Mikayla!) and these awesome light up toasting flutes.  I am so super excited for the wedding today, I know Im going to cry when I give away my best friend!!!!!

Erica, Zerlina, Lauren, Katie, Me & my belly!
I cant wait to spend the day with my best friends and Mikayla!!!!
